Ellen A. Fischer

ELLEN A. FISCHER joins the firm with more than 25 years of continuous experience in defending malpractice claims against health care providers, 1983 claims against correctional facility medical providers, and Public Health Law actions against nursing homes, as well as representing psychiatric facilities in Mental Hygiene Law matters (including petitions for medication over objection, assisted outpatient treatment, involuntary retention of patients, and appointment of Article 81 guardians). She is skilled in legal research and writing, and has an extensive record of success in complex motion and appellate practice. She is admitted to practice in the New York State Supreme Courts and the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Fischer was selected by her peers as a Super Lawyer in 2023, and as a Committee Member of the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on the CPLR.
