Daniel Stafford

Daniel has extensive experience in transactional law and commercial litigation. His ability to navigate both areas of law allows him to provide well-rounded representation to his clients.  His transactional work includes mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential real estate, forming and restructuring business entities, and representing lenders and borrowers in secured lending transactions.  He has also served as outside general counsel to local and regional financial institutions, privately-held businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. Daniel's commercial litigation experience is likewise broad.  He has represented clients in shareholder disputes, breach of contract claims, real estate litigation, estate litigation, and Article 78 proceedings.

Daniel received his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from John Marshall Law School.  Following law school, Daniel served as an appellate law clerk for Chief Justice Miguel Demapan of the Supreme Court of the Northern Mariana Islands - a United States territory located in the Asia-Pacific region.  Upon completing his clerkship, he remained in the region for three years while working as in-house counsel for a multi-national lending institution.  In this role, he participated in secured lending and real estate development projects in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Macau, and Guam.  He has been practicing law in the Hudson Valley since 2013, and he joined Arciero McMillan & Burgess, PC in 2023.

Daniel is a member of the New York State and Dutchess County Bar Associations.  He served as President of the Dutchess County Bar Association from 2021 to 2022.  He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Abilities First, Inc. - an organization dedicated to assisting individuals with developmental disabilities.  He served as President of the Board from 2019 to 2022.  Last but certainly not least, Daniel and his wife Kathleen are the proud parents of three active and adorable young children.
